Dad, Where do I start? It’s immeasurable how much I miss you - it really is. I have this empty, hollow feeling inside that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to repair. The realism of how close we were is really kicking in. “I’ll ring Dad about that” “I’ll send that to Dad” “Dad will laugh at that” “Let’s see if Dad’s on Discord” These thoughts are coming and going constantly, and my heart just breaks over and over again. It’s rough man. You know, you’re way more than just my rock. You’re the foundation of everything good in me and the root of a million memories I’ll forever be blessed with. While you may be gone in person, that foundation you laid is strong. It is engrained deep in me and for that I am eternally grateful because I know it will get me through this. I’ll continue to do everything I can to make you proud. Including taking on everything we talked about in our later conversations. You have always been my best friend, Dad. You always will be. I don’t say that lightly. I mean my genuine best friend. The support. The banter (including the abuse, haha). The shared interests, the shared beliefs. The harsh truths required and the listening ear … the list goes on and on. I know the same goes for Ben too. As far as being a Dad goes – you completed it. As far as being a mate goes – you completed it. The pain of losing you is a small price to pay for the privilege of having you in my life. I know how lucky I am. It won’t be easy going forward, but I have plenty of memories to keep my smiling until we meet again. Love you Dad, See you in the Gulag … Yeah man!

Where do you start, there are soo many years of memories of kev, mainly at work at woodlands, xmas dos, the one thing that always comes to mind are the chats we used to have, putting the world to rights, we had the same outlook on everything, they would last a while, our way of venting how pissed off we both were on all the news, id end up crying with laughter at his one liners and how honest and down to earth he was, he never minced his words and said it how it was mainly consisting of a multiple of swear words as he did, thats what i luved about him, he was always a joy to be around, he never took life too seriously and could always see the funny side of any situation good or bad, I shall miss the catch ups with kev, he was always your sunshine on a shit day 🌞⭐️, I will miss him, luv and miss you loads kev 😢🙏💔
